haha today something rather funny ( in my eyes ) happened i was supposed to be having some meeting for an activity and they were like discussing and i felt rather excluded. good thing they chased me away soon. if it was the past me, i would have really be pissed and upset. but the new me is so cool about such things now. i feel as if i am a monk who secludes in the mountain and can see through all this worldly affairs. haha.
although i know i should not say this because some may read my blog and get offended, but PLS!!!!!!! read the blog message. haha. ok first and foremost i am not trying to show off anything but i seriously have organised and ran many event before. when i was in the student council, i ran from simple things like PTMs to complex ones like the north-zone inter school conferences and not to say the countless celebrations and competition. Also for my CCA i ran events for 3 years running that host more than hundreds of students before. For me, i really think that the meeting was small matter to me. honestly that meeting was really a mess. it is nobodies fault, i just think that maybe it is the culture of tjc.
i try to cut down on what i say, i dont want to offend ppl. all i want is a peaceful life. i realised when u talk too much ppl ask U to do work. so talk less, do less, slack more. i used to be a person who will take initiative to change my environment, and i still am. but i realised that sometimes i just really cant be bothered, because this is the world!! Admit it, this world is like that. if your boss call you to do something in which you think it is wrong and u say it out, u get fired. Sometimes ppl just give suggestion out of goodwill, and they get rejected due to some other reasons besides not being feasible. the worst reply is: you SOOOO smart YOU DO LA!!!! .... ppl are just giving suggestions to help u, why must ppl be so negative and emotional. haizzzzz.
now i know why some ppl hate the working life and would rather stick to books and mugg. At least ur books wouldnt say those things to you. harsh realities of life are coming down hard on me, and i am slowly getting used to it. A fren of mine told me something quite philosophical "humans are forced to be social, but are still in the end lonely" this is what i call the hypocrisy of life. we are bounded by or conventional thoughts and our so called morals but i felt that such things, unless it come from the bottom of your heart, is really for show. we always give politically correct answers. Our education system really has something wrong, we have become students with better examination results, more efficient, more sporty. but i feel we lack something far more important than these. we lost the ability to really think. we read about philosophies but do we really understand them. think about them, absorb them. or do we just remember it and plug it into our essays due tomorrow.
sorry for my long essay today. but i really think that maris stella, though not a school with very high banding or produce students of fabulous results, it is a place where ppl do think. perhaps it wasnt as bad as what i think it used to be. At least they got students who would think, and that alone would ensure that these people would be successful( this term cannot be measured using money, fame, academic results. it is a spritual level of understanding yourself, feel truly happy unlike those walking zombies in life)
