Tomorrow is my last day at work, after working for 4 weeks i went on like a hyper 4 week flag day everyday. it was rather tiring and i thought of quitting after the first day. miraculously i hanged on and grit my teeth everyday.
the job was rather interesting, i got to meet the rich, the not so rich yet extremely kind, the less fortunate, the warm, the gentle and the hospitable. Also, i get to see the obnoxious, the bad tempered and the unfriendly. but the thing is you would want to spend time on those who are not friendly and spent more time on those who are friendly. End up, you remember the happy things more than the less good things. Today the sugar cane uncle gave me a discount after work. This job taught me alot of things, how to stereotype people, be strategic, learn lessons in society and most importantly things are not what it seems. clothes cannot tell if one is really rich or that people appearance do not always reflect what is within. I feel that singapore is still filled with those who are kind and nice generally. it warms my heart to think that we are not as cold as we thought we are. honestly, in this job i get to meet alot of pretty girls and many of those who are both pretty and kind are the most attractive.
